RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE
VACATION OF A 60' X 465' UNOPENED PORTION OF
REGENT STREET, AND A 60' X 425' UNOPENED
PORTION OF CAMPBELL AVENUE DIRECTLY TO THE
WEST OF THE INTERSECTION OF CAMPBELL AVENUE
AND ALICE AVENUE, AS FEBRUARY 21, 2011, AT
5:30 P.M. IN CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS,
WATERLOO, IOWA, AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY
CLERK TO PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 21st day of February, 2011, for the
purpose of considering and acting upon a proposal to vacate a 60'
x 465' unopened portion of Regent Street, and a 60' x 425'
unopened portion of Campbell Avenue directly to the West of the
intersection of Campbell Avenue and Alice Avenue, and legally
described as follows:
All of the 60' wide right-of-way of Regent Street as
platted in Lewis Miller's Small Farms, except that part
already vacated as per Ordinance No. 2887 (dated May 9,
1977); all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County,
Iowa.
That portion of the 60' wide right-of-way of Campbell
Avenue that lies West of the Northerly extension of the
East line of Lot 50 Lewis Miller's Small Farms, all in
the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to
publish notice of the time and place of said hearing in the
Waterloo Courier.
