RESOLUTION NO. 2024-557
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO BROCK
EVEN CONSTRUCTION, LLC, OF JESUP, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $208,547.56, APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BOND, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2025 SIDEWALK REPAIR
ASSESSMENT PROGRAM, CONTRACT NO. 1111, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, Brock Even Construction, LLC, of Jesup, Iowa, submitted a bid in the
amount of $976,021.50, in conjunction with the FY 2025 Sidewalk Repair Assessment Program,
Contract No. 1111, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Brock Even Construction, LLC, submitted a written contract, bond, and
certificate of insurance, in conjunction with the FY 2025 Sidewalk Repair Assessment Program,
Contract No. 1111.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Brock Even Construction, LLC, in the amount of $976,021.50, in
conjunction with the FY 2025 Sidewalk Repair Assessment Program, Contract No. 1111, is
hereby awarded to Brock Even Construction, LLC.
2. That the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance submitted by Brock Even
Construction, LLC, in conjunction with FY 2025 Sidewalk Repair Assessment Program,
Contract No. 1111, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of September 2024.
