RATION PROJECT
In the City of Waterloo, Iowa
CONTRACT NO. 1109
RECEIVING OF BIDS
Sealed proposals will be received by
the City Clerk of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, at her office in the City Hall of
the said City on the 26th day of Sep-
tember, 2024, until 1:00 p.m, for the
construction of the MLK WETLAND
A RESTORATION PROJECT CITY
CONTRACT NO. 1109, as described
in detail in the plans and specifica-
tions now on file in the Office of the
City Clerk.
OPENING OF BIDS
All proposals received will be opened
In the Harold E. Getty Council Cham-
bers at City Hall, In the City of Wa-
terloo, Iowa, on the 26th day of Sep-
tember 2024, at 1:00 p.m., and the
proposals will be acted upon at such
ater time and place as may then be
fixed by the City Council, The bid
opening will be Iivestreamed on You -
Tube and made available on the city
webslte.
PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Coun-
cil of sad City will conduct a pub-
lic hearing on the proposed plans,
specifications, form of contract, and
estimate of cost for the construction
of the above -described Improvement
project at 5:30 p.m. on the 7th day
of ctober 2024, said hearing to be
held In the Harold E. Getty Council
Chambers in City Hall in said City. The
proposed plans, specifications, form of
contract, and estimate of cost for said
Improvements heretofore prepared by
AECOM are now on file In the office of
the City Clerk for public examination,
and any person Interested therein may
file written objection thereto with the
City Clerk before the date set for said
hearing or appear and make objection
thereto with the City Clerk before the

above set forth.
SCOPE.OF WORK
Work of this Contract consists of
restoring one wetland and the instal-
lation of field fence around protected
areas. Spoils from the wetland resto-
ration site shall be hauled to a nearby
vacant Industrial site for placement.
Published pursuant to the provisions
of Chapter26 of the City Code of Iowa
and upon order to the City of Water-
loo, Iowa, on the 3rd day of September
2024.
