N M RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF CERTAIN EXCESS PROPERTY TO DENNIS LIGER PLUS COSTS AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CLERK/AUDITOR TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER A DEED : FOR SAME. WHEREAS the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is the owner of real property in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, as described below, and WHEREAS, an offer to purchase said certain parcel of real property in the . , sum of $1 ,275.00 plus costs has been made by Dennis Liger, and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held January 6, 1986, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, as provided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on proposal to sell and convey premises owned by the City of Waterloo, Iowa to Dennis Liger, Waterloo, Iowa, and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that sale and conveyance should be made as proposed. NOW THERORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA AS FOLLOWS: 1 . The following described real property, as fully described in the published notice in the Waterloo Courier on December 27, 1985, is not presently needed and will not be needed in the foreseeable future for municipal purposes and its ownership is serving no municipal purpose, and 2. That the offer of $1 ,275.00 and costs be, and it is hereby accepted for real property described below: Beginning at a point on the easterly line of Lot 39 Auditor's Whitney Road Plat in Sections 16 and 21-89-13 in the town of Castle Hill, Black Hawk County, Iowa (now in the City of Waterloo), said point being 40 feet normal distance southwesterly from the center line of Rainbow Drive; thence southerly along the easterly line of said Lot 39 to a point 55 feet northerly of the southeast corner of said Lot 39; thence southwesterly to a point on the southerly line of said Lot 39 that is 45 feet westerly of the southeast corner of said Lot 39; thence westerly along the southerly line of said Lot 39 a distance of 34.7 feet; thence northerly along a line that if extended would intersect the northeasterly line of said Lot 39 at a point 89.03 feet northwesterly of the northeast corner of said Lot 39, to a point 38 feet normal distance southwesterly of the center line of Rainbow Drive; thence southeasterly along a line 38 feet normal distance southwesterly of the center line of Rainbow Drive to a point 20 feet from the point of beginning; thence southeasterly a distance of 20 feet to the point of beginning. 3. That the City of Waterloo, Iowa, convey said parcels of real property to Dennis Liger by Quit Claim Deed. 4.
