RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN
p ` s ACQUISITION OONTRACTS TO SELL REAL PROPERTY
TO THE CITY AND ACCEPTING AND APPROVING

WHEREAS, The City of Waterloo, Iowa, has had all the parcels
described herein appraised and the fair market value ascertained,
AND WHEREAS, the acquisition of the hereinafter described

OD parcels is necessary to carry out the Orange Road Bridge Replacement
to
:Project.
v - NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
-of`Waterloo, Iowa, that the contract for the parcels hereinafter
described to sell the same to the City of Waterloo, Iowa, all of which
are situated in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, are
accepted and approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and
directed to execute the same in behalf of the City and to execute all
_instruments necessary to consummate the agreement to purchase the
properties from the owners thereof, and the deeds for the conveyance of
the same are also accepted and approved and the City of Waterloo is
directed to pay for the properties and the incidental expenses necessary
to the consummation of the sales from City Funds.

EXHIBIT "A"
That part of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of Section Fourteen
(14), Township Eighty-eight North (T88N), Range Thirteen West (R13W) of
the Fifth Principal Meridian in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County,
Iowa, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the East Line of Hammond Avenue, said point
lying Fifty (50) feet east of the West Line of said Southwest Quarter
(SW 1 /4) and Forty (40) feet north of the South Line of said Southwest
Quarter; thence east parallel with said South Line Nine Hundred Fifty
and One Tenth (950.10) feet; thence north at right angles Thirty (30)
feet; thence northwesterly Four Hundred and Five Tenths (400.5) feet to
a point which is Ninety (90) feet north of said South Line of Southwest
Quarter (SW 1 /4) ; thence southwesterly Five Hundred Fifty and Seventy-
three Hundredths (550.73) feet to a point on the East Line of Hammond
Avenue, said point being Sixty-five (65) feet north of the South Line
and Fifty (50) feet east of the East Line of said Southwest Quarter
(SW 1/4) ; thence south Twenty-five (25) feet to the point of beginning.
Area = 36,630 S.F. more or less.
TEMPORARY GRADING EASEMENT
That part of the Southwest Quarther (SW 1 /4) of Section Fourteen
(14), Township Eighty-eight North (T88N), Range Thirteen West (R13W) of
the Fifth Principal Meridian in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County,
Iowa, described as follows:
The South One Hundred Twenty (120) feet of the East Seventy (70)
feet of the West Six Hundred Ten (610) feet of said Southwest Quarter
(SW 1 /4) except existing roadways.
Area = 2, 180 S.F. more or less.
