A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
¢ '' CLERK/AUDITOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH
THE U.S. POSTAL SERVICE IN CONNECTION WITH
THE HACKETT WAD BYPASS PROJECT

oC WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City of Waterloo, Iowa to
F ¢ cquire a portion of land owned by the U.S. Postal Service in connection
g 5 cwith the Hackett Road ByPass Project; and
c WHEREAS, negotiations are underway for said purchase, but will
:~allot be complete by such time as the land is needed for construction, and
s WHEREAS, an Agreement setting forth conditions for a
rco❑promise has been developed and said Agreement would allow the City to
`A ` roceed with the procuring of bids and construction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
o OF WATERLOO, IOWA that the Mayor Pro Tem and City Deputy Clerk/Auditor
be authorized to execute said Agreement and be directed to pay
Li $75,000.00 to the Post Office, with balance due being paid upon
completion of negotiations.
Passed and adopted this 3rd day of February, 1986.
