s N ` Q AND SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO THE ECONOMIC

Q ¢ �, r DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION FOR FEDERAL ASSISTANCE
ccr c IN PREPARING AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STUDY.
• WHEREAS, the Economic Development Administration has indicated that
Federal funds are available for an Economic Adjustment Strategy Grant
for the Black Hawk County area; and
▪ 1414ElErAS the City desires to apply for such assistance and assures
tte avai l abi l i ty of the 25% Local Match; and,
a; WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed Application for
v
deral Assistance for Economic Development Administration funds for
they:City of Waterloo, Iowa, conforms to the general plan of the
niunicipality as a whole.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Application for Federal Assistance is hereby
approved and that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the
appropriate forms and forward the Statement to the Economic
Development Administration for their review and approval .
Passed and adopted this 19th day of May, 1986.
