s ;~ RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ENDORSING THE "DISTRIBUTIVE
SYSTEM-HARD WIRE CONNECTION" CONTAINED WITHIN THE
METROPOLITAN AREA TRAFFIC OPERATION AND SIGNAL STUDY

‹ i WHEREAS, Barton-Aschman Associates, Inc. , has under contract with the
`_ City of Waterloo, Iowa, a study entitled the "Metropolitan Area
rr Traffic Operation and Signal Study (MATOSS)," and

WHEREAS, said firm has delineated several options to update and
'o modernize the City's traffic control system, and
'-' WHEREAS, under the Interstate Substitution Program, improvements to
� the City's traffic control system are reimburseable up to 85% of the
_,, project cost, and
WHEREAS, the "Distributive System - Hard Wire Connection" has been
identified as a feasible option at a total approximated construction
ccH- ;cost of $1,825,200.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, that the "Distributive System - Hard Wire Connection"
be approved and endorsed as the system to update and modernize the
City's traffic control system.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Waterloo, Iowa, commit the
staffing and resources to implement said system.
Passed and adopted this 9th day of June, 1986.
