RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN
ACQUISITION CONTRACTS TO SELL REAL PROPERTY
TO THE CITY AND ACCEPTING AND APPROVING
CERTAIN DEEDS.
WHEREAS, The City of Waterloo, Iowa, has had all the parcels
described herein appraised and the fair market value ascertained,
AND WHEREAS, the acquisition of the hereinafter described
parcels is necessary to carry out the East Orange Road Bridge Replacement
Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa, that the contract for the parcels hereinafter
described to sell the same to the City of Waterloo, Iowa, all of which
are situated in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, are
accepted and approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and
directed to execute the same in behalf of the City and to execute all
instruments necessary to consummate the agreement to purchase the
properties from the owners thereof, and the deeds for the conveyance of
the same are also accepted and approved and the City of Waterloo is
directed to pay for the properties and the incidental expenses necessary
to the consummation of the sales from City Funds.

DESCRIPTION
That part of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of Section
Twenty-three (23), Township Eighty-eight North (T88N), Range
Thirteen West (R13W) of the Fifth Principal Meridian in the
City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, described as
follows:
Beginning at a point on the East line of Hammond Avenue, said
point lying thirty-three (33) feet east of the West line and
forty (40) feet south of the North Line of said Northwest
Quarter (NW 1/4) ; thence East parallel with said North line of
Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) nine hundred sixty-seven and twenty-
six hundredths (967.27) feet; thence south at right angles
twenty (20) feet; thence Southwesterly five hundred and nine
tenths (500.9) feet to a point which is ninety (90) feet south
of said North line; thence Northwesterly four hundred sixty-
eight and thirty-five hundredths (468.35) feet to a point on
the East line of Hammond Avenue, said point lying thirty-three
(33) feet east of the West line and sixty (60) feet south of
the North line of said Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) ; thence North
twenty (20) feet to the point of beginning.
Area = 33,855 S.F. more or less.
TEMPORARY GRADING EASEMENT
That part of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of Section
twenty-three (23), Township Eighty-eight North (T88N), Range
Thirteen West (R13W) of the Fifth Principal Meridian in the
City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, described as
follows:
