o -: WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has adopted
R ,1 Ordinance No. 3441 on June 9, 1986, an ordinance amending the Traffic
C Qie by adding Subsection 102, Temporary Traffic Sign Signals and
Makings, and
WHEREAS, said ordinance allows temporary changes in speed limits by
co Council resolution when reasonably necessary because of construction,
reconstruction, maintenance, safety or natural disaster, and the
ry posting of signs indicating said changes.

NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
Waterloo, Ioway that the sp
eed limit on University Avenue/U.S.
Highway 218 be reduced from 45 m.p.h. to 35 m.p.h. between Station
P. - 2447 to Station 2473, or generally from South Hackett Road to
~" f , approximately fifty feet (50' ) west of the traffic lights at Perkins,
"in conjunction with the Hackett Road Bypass (Structures)
"(IX-6585(4)--79-07).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Sign and Traffic Department be
instructed to cause signs to be erected indicating said change in
speed limits.
Passed and adopted this 28th day of July, 1986.
