RESOLUTION NO. 2024-597
RESOLUTION CONFIRMING APPROVAL OF PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., AND
AUTHORIZING TO PROCEED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE
FY 2025 MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. DRIVE WETLAND A
RESTORATION, CONTRACT NO. 1109.
WHEREAS, the Wetland A Restoration project on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive is a
critical environmental enhancement initiative aimed at improving water quality, habitat, and
community recreational value; and
WHEREAS, detailed plans, specifications, and forms of contract have been prepared to
ensure the project adheres to all environmental regulations and local government standards for
construction and restoration; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The plans, specifications, and form of contract for the FY 2025 Martin Luther King, Jr.
Drive Wetland A Restoration, Contract No. 1109, are hereby approved.
2. The City Engineer and relevant department heads are authorized to proceed with
actions necessary to implement the restoration project, encompassing bid invitations, contract
negotiations, and project oversight.
3. The city's Engineering Department shall manage the project's implementation,
ensuring routine inspections and compliance with design intent and environmental safeguards.
4. This resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
