RESOLUTION NO. 2024-601
RESOLUTION APPROVING SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT
NO. 3 WITH AECOM, OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $66,800.00, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY
2024 LAPORTE ROAD IMPROVEMENTS, PHASE I,
CONTRACT NO. 1016, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, ongoing infrastructure improvements are a priority for the City of Waterloo
to maintain and enhance transportation efficiency and safety; and
WHEREAS, the LaPorte Road Improvements, Phase I, as part of Contract No. 1016 for
FY 2024, requires additional engineering and consulting services to address evolving project
scope and technical challenges; and
WHEREAS, AECOM, of Waterloo, Iowa, has been identified as a capable consultant
with both the expertise and previous involvement necessary to deliver the additional professional
services effectively; and
WHEREAS, Supplemental Agreement No. 3 outlines the specific additional services
required, including detailed engineering design, project management, and coordination, at a
proposed cost of $66,800.00, which has been reviewed and deemed appropriate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. Supplemental Agreement No. 3 with AECOM, in the amount of $66,800.00, is hereby
approved to facilitate the furtherance of the LaPorte Road Improvements, Phase I, under
Contract No. 1016.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said agreement and
any subsequent documentation necessary for the project's continued conduction and oversight.
3. The Engineering Department shall ensure regular updates are provided to the council
regarding progress and any challenges faced, ensuring transparency and accountability in the
execution of this supplemental work.
4. This resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
