RESOLUTION NO. 2024-606
RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH IMPACT7G, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $3,200.00, TO COMPLETE A PHASE I
ENVIRONMENTAL SITE ASSESSMENT FOR PROPERTIES
LOCATED AT 1651 AND 1659 SYCAMORE STREET, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is committed to promoting sustainable development
practices, which includes environmental due diligence on potential redevelopment sites; and
WHEREAS, properties located north of 1651 and 1659 Sycamore Street have been
identified for potential development, and a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment is required to
ensure the site's environmental integrity; and
WHEREAS, Impact7G is a qualified firm experienced in conducting Phase I Environmental
Site Assessments, and has proposed to perform this service for an amount not to exceed $3,200.00;
and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to engage such services to facilitate the
responsible redevelopment of these properties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The Professional Services Agreement with Impact7G, in an amount not to exceed
$3,200.00, for the purpose of conducting a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment for properties
located north of 1651 and 1659 Sycamore Street, is hereby approved.
2. The Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said agreement.
3. This resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
