RESOLUTION NO. 2024-607
RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH
MIDAMERICAN ENERGY COMPANY, OF DES MOINES,
IOWA, IN AN ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $11,785.67, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE GAS MAIN EXTENSION
LOCATED ALONG GT DRIVE, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo aims to enhance infrastructure and service delivery to
accommodate community growth and development, including extending utility services where
necessary; and
WHEREAS, MidAmerican Energy Company of Des Moines, Iowa, has proposed an
agreement to extend a gas main along GT Drive, within the Northeast Industrial Park, to support
this infrastructure expansion; and
WHEREAS, the estimated amount of the agreement for the gas main extension is
$11,785.67, providing essential gas utility services to the relevant area; and
WHEREAS, the execution of this agreement is deemed beneficial to the City for facilitating
the required utility services expansion efficiently and effectively.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The agreement with MidAmerican Energy Company, in an estimated amount
of $11,785.67, for the purpose of extending a gas main along GT Drive, within the Northeast
Industrial Park, is hereby approved.
2. The Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said agreement.
3. This resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
