RESOLUTION NO. 2024-591
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AN IOWA DOT COMMERCIAL
SERVICE VERTICAL INFRASTRUCTURE GRANT, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $124,902.00, FOR HANGAR IMPROVEMENTS
AND TERMINAL INTERIOR UPGRADES, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the Iowa Department of Transportation (Iowa DOT) has awarded a
Commercial Service Vertical Infrastructure grant to the City of Waterloo, in the amount
of $124,902.00, designated for hangar improvements and terminal interior upgrades at the
Waterloo Regional Airport; and
WHEREAS, upgrading hangar facilities and terminal interiors is critical for enhancing
operational efficiency, improving service quality, and attracting more airlines and passengers to
the Waterloo Regional Airport.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The Iowa DOT Commercial Service Vertical Infrastructure grant, in the amount
of $124,902.00, is hereby accepted for the specified airport infrastructure improvements.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute all necessary
documents and agreements pertaining to the grant award.
3. This resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
