T Q f r CV 5 rr- s WHEREAS, the Waterloo Housing Authority has conducted a public hearing on September 2, 1986 regarding this application, o r) • = WHEREAS,..no written or oral objections to the application were filed or cc submitted -pprior to or at the Public Hearing, the 4--" �i w NWHEREAS f1e Waterloo Housing Authority was instructed by the Community rr- GI Development Board to apply for eighteen (18) units of Section 8 Existing Housing in conjunction with their preliminary application for the RenttIIRehabilitation Program, } WHEREAS, the Waterloo Housing Authority has been advised in contacts from the Department of Housing and Urban Development that the Authority could apply for no more than eighteen (18) units of Section 8 Existing Housing Rental Rehabilitation Vouchers, WHEREAS, the application is consistent with the needs and objectives of the Housing Assistance Plans of the City of Waterloo, Iowa. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa that majority approval of the proposed program within its jurisdiction be granted based upon the requirements of Section 403A.5 of the Iowa Code. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that submission of an application for a total of eighteen (18) units of Section 8 Rental Rehabilitation Existing Housing is hereby approved and adopted. JOY, AND AUTHORIZING CONSTRUCTION OF ONE (1) TEMPORARY CONCRETE DRIVEWAY IRRESPECTIVE OF A LATTER OFFICIAL GRADE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA: That, WHEREAS, Dennis C. Joy has made written application to the City Council asking that he be authorized and permitted to construct one (1) temporary concrete driveway without respect to a permanent sidewalk grade when and if the same may be subsequently set on Galloway Addition, Waterloo, Iowa, Lot 356 known as 325 Harwood Avenue; and WHEREAS, it is the sense of the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, that said request should be granted, now, therefore, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that permission is hereby granted to Dennis C. Joy to construct one (1) temporary concrete driveway in accor- dance with the existing contour of the abutting land with the subjective understanding and agreement between the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and the said Dennis C. Joy that, snould at a later date a permanent formal grade be established for sidewalk purposes or otherwise, that the said Dennis C. Joy will immediately thereafter, and at his own expense, remove all or whatever portion of temporary concrete driveway he may have constructed, and rebuild or reconstruct the same in accordance with the permanent grade as may hereafter be set and established, the work to be done under the supervision of the City Engineer. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk/Auditor is authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the Black Hawk County Recorder for recording and for filing in order that this said action may become a matter of official County Record.
