HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-001-01.05.1987 RESOLUTION NO. 1987-1 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF A STRUCTURE LOCATED AT 404 DEVONSHIRE TO WINCHESTER FARMS, INC. , FOR $4,276.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE PLANNING, PROGRAMMING AND ZONING STAFF TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER A BILL OF SALE FOR o Mrr -' n SAME. t-, n) 4 o c[ WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is the owner of all structures located upon real property located at 404 Devonshire and legally described as Lot 1, Byrnbrae Second Addition, City of N Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, and r- 'WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, intends to sell and convey said structures and cause them to be removed from the site in accordance with the guidelines and stipulations set forth in the bid o proposal. form and, WHEREAS, an offer to purchase in compliance with said oo (guidelines and stipulations a structure located upon said parcel in j, the an unt of $4,276.00 has been made by Winchester Farms, Inc. , and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on January 5, 1987 at 7:00 pm,, in the Council Chambers in City Hall , Waterloo, Iowa, as provided-by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, to accept =bids for structure located at 404 Devonshire and to sell and onvey,-sid structure owned by the City of Waterloo, Iowa to Winchester Farms, Inc. , the successful bidder, and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that sale and conveyance should be made as proposed. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, as follows : 1. The following described structure located at 404 Devonshire, as fully described in the published notices in the Waterloo Courier on December 12, 15 and 19, 1986, is not presently needed and will not be needed in the foreseeable future for municipal purposes and its ownership is serving no municipal purpose, and 2. That the offer of Winchester Farms, Inc. , to purchase the structure for the sum of Four Thousand Two Hundred Seventy-six Dollars and No Cents ($4,276.00) be, and it is hereby accepted for the structure and under the conditions described below: Three bedroom ranch style woodframe home in full compliance with conditions as stated in purchase agreement. 3. That the City of Waterloo, Iowa, convey said structure by Bill of Sale. 4. That the Planning, Programming and Zoning staff is authorized and directed to deliver said Bill of Sale to Winchester Farms, Inc. , upon receipt of $1,000.00 performance bond.
