Home My WebLink About1987-030-01.26.1987 RESOLUTION NO. 1987-30 'ESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN ACQUISITION CONTRACTS TO SELL REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY AND ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN DEEDS. WHEREAS, The City of waterloo, Iowa, has had all of the parcel described herein appraised and the fair market value ascertained, and WHEREAS, the acquisition of the hereinafter described parcel is necessary to carry out the Anshorough Reconstruction Project in connection with the Interstate Substitution Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, that the contract for the parcel hereinafter described to sell the same to the City of Waterloo, Iowa, all of which is situated in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, is accepted and approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the same in behalf of the City and to execute all instruments necessary to consummate the agreement to purchase the properties from the owner thereof, and the deeds for the conveyance of the same are also accepted and approved and the City of Waterloo is directed to pay for the properties and the incidental expenses necessary to the consummation of the sale from city Funds. The subject parcel is. PARCEL NO. 2640 - 2640 ANSBOROUGH AVENUE A part of the North six and one-half (6-1/2) acres of the South eight and one-half (3-1/2) acres of the East twenty-five (25) acres of the North one--half of the Southeast Quarter of Section No. thirty-three (33), Township No. eighty-nine (89) North, Range No. thirteen (13) West of the Fifth Principal Meridian in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County., Iowa, bounded as follows! Beginning at the point of intersection of the West line of Ansborough Avenue with the South line of the said six and one-half (6-1/2) acre tract.. thence North along the West line of Ansborough Avenue a distance of one hundred six (106) feet. thence West at right angles to Ansborough Avenue a distance of two hundred seventeen (217) feet. thence South parallel with the West line of Anshorough Avenue to the South line of the said six and one-half (6-1/2) acre tract° thence East along the South line of the said six and one-half (6-1/2) acre tract to the point of beginning .
