Sealed proposals wiri be received by
the City Clerk of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, at her office in the City Hall of the
said City on the 24th day of October
2024, at 1:00 p.m, for the, construction
o f the Terminal Security Upgrades, as
described in detail In the plans and
specifications now on file In the Office
o1 the City Clerk.
OPENING OF Bios
All proposals received will be opened
in the Harold E. Getty Council Cham-
bers at City Hall, In the Clty of Water-
loo, Iowa, on the 24th day of October
2024, at 1:00 pm., and the proposals
wf hl be acted upon at such later time
and place as may then be fixed by the
City Council. The bid opening will be
livestreamed on 'eauTube and made
available on the city websita
PUBUC HEAR IING
Notice is hereby given that the Council
of said City will conduct a public hear-
ing on the proposed plans, specifica-
tions, form of contract, and estimate
of cost for the construction of the
above -described Improvement project
at 5:30 p.m. on the 41h day of Novem-
ber 2024, said hearing to be held In
the Harold E. Getty Council Chambers
in City Hall In said City. The preposed
plans, specifications, form of contract,
and estimate of cost for said improve-
ments heretofore prepared by the City
of Waterloo are now on fl le In the office
o f the City Clerk far public examina-
tlon, and any person Interested therein
may file written objection thereto with
the City Clerk before the date set for
said hearing, or appear and make
objection thereto with the City Clerk
before the date set for said hearing, or
appear and make objection thereto at
the meeting above set forth.
SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of this project consists Dian
upgrade to the existing door Access
Control System and an expansion of
the Closed -Circuit Television (CCTV)
security camera system at and within
the Waterloo Regional Airport terminal
building.
The Access Control system will allow
control of the Security identification
Display Area (SEOA) Line as well as
controlling access to the Secured and
Sterile areas. This central system up-
grade will have door contacts allowing
the monitoring personnel to know the
status of each door upon a glance.
Access controls for the automated ex-
terior gates will also receive upgrades.
CCTV cameras will be added to the
existing system to assist in monitoring
zone controlling access doors.
