RESOLUTION NO. 2024-631
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PARKING CONTRACT
WITH IPS GROUP OF SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE MULTI -SPOT PARKING
METERS UPGRADE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR,
CITY ATTORNEY, AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo seeks to enhance its parking management system by
upgrading to Multi -Spot Parking Meters, aiming to improve efficiency, user convenience, and
revenue collection; and
WHEREAS, IPS Group of San Diego, California, has been selected to provide the
necessary equipment and services for this parking meter upgrade, based on their proven expertise
and innovative technology solutions; and
WHEREAS, it is in the city's interest to execute a contract with IPS Group to facilitate
timely implementation of the upgraded parking system and to establish clear terms and
conditions for both parties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The Parking Contract with IPS Group for the Multi -Spot Parking Meters upgrade is
hereby approved, reflecting the agreed terms of service and technology provision.
2. Relevant city departments shall oversee the installation and integration of the new
Multi -Spot Parking Meters, ensuring compliance with contract specifications and optimizing
benefits from the upgrade.
3. The Mayor, City Attorney and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the
necessary contract and any additional related documentation on behalf of the City of Waterloo,
finalizing this agreement.
4. This resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
