RESOLUTION NO. 2024-632
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE IGT FUND TRANSFER
AGREEMENT FOR FY 2026 AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo recognizes the value of collaborating with state
agencies to optimize the health and welfare services provided to residents; and
WHEREAS, the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services has proposed an
Intergovernmental Transfer of Funds Agreement for FY 2026, facilitating coordinated funding
and resource sharing to enhance community health initiatives and services; and
WHEREAS, entering into this agreement is anticipated to further collective goals of
improving public health outcomes, streamlining service delivery, and ensuring effective
allocation of resources.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The Intergovernmental Transfer of Funds Agreement with the Iowa Department of
Health and Human Services for FY 2026 is hereby approved, formalizing the terms for the
transfer and application of funds.
2. Waterloo Fire Rescue is tasked with overseeing the proper administration of the funds
received and ensuring compliance with the agreement, aiming to maximize the efficiency and
effectiveness of health services delivered.
3. The Mayor is authorized and directed to execute the necessary agreement on behalf of
the City of Waterloo, validating the intergovernmental partnership and engagement in mutual
objectives.
4. This resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval enabling the timely
execution and application of agreed terms for FY 2026 initiatives.
