RESOLUTION NO. 2024-637
A RESOLUTION APPROVING SUPPLEMENTAL
AGREEMENT NO. 7 WITH STANLEY CONSULTANTS, INC.,
OF DES MOINES, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $52,600.00, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2022 11 TH STREET AND
PARK AVENUE BRIDGE REPLACEMENTS PROJECT,
CONTRACT NO. 1013, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo entered into a contract with Stanley Consultants, Inc.
on September 23, 2019 to provide professional services for a Feasibility Study for the
replacement of the Park Avenue and 11 to Street bridges over the Cedar River; and
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo desires to amend the original contract with Stanley
Consultants, Inc., of Des Moines, Iowa, to include design, permitting, construction documents
and construction related services (CRS) at the Park Avenue Bridge for installation of a Bridge
Memorial Marker and Signage due to change in site location of the marker and signage, and
WHEREAS, due to unforeseen project scope changes, increased technical requirements,
or additional services necessitated during the course of the project, it is deemed necessary to
enter into Supplemental Agreement No. 7, in the amount of $52,600.00, and extend the
agreement end date to December 31, 2025, with Stanley Consultants, Inc; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and agrees that this supplemental agreement
is necessary to facilitate continued progress and successful completion of the bridge replacement
project within its stipulated timeframe and budget constraints.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. That Supplemental Agreement No. 7 with Stanley Consultants, Inc., of Des Moines,
Iowa, in the amount of $52,600.00 and an end date of December 31, 2025, in conjunction with
the FY 2022 l lth Street and Park Avenue Bridge Replacements Project, Contract No. 1013, is
hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
Agreement on behalf of the City of Waterloo.
3. This resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
