RESOLUTION NO. 2024-612
RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING
AS NOVEMBER 4, 2024, FOR THE PROPERTY USE
AGREEMENT WITH IOWA NORTHLAND COUNCIL OF
GOVERNMENTS, EXPIRING DECEMBER 31, 2026, TO
UTILIZE CITY PROPERTY FOR TRANSIT VEHICLE
PARKING NEAR 1325 BLACK HAWK STREET AND
INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is considering entering into a Property Use Agreement
with the Iowa Northland Council of Governments to allow them to utilize city -owned property,
located near 1325 Black Hawk Street, for transit vehicle parking; and
WHEREAS, the term of the proposed agreement will commence upon approval and
expire on December 31, 2026.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall meet in the Harold E. Getty Council
Chambers at City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 4th day of November 2024, to hold a
public hearing to discuss and consider the proposed Property Use Agreement.
2. During the public hearing, interested parties may express their views regarding the
proposed transaction.
3. The Property Use Agreement will expire on December 31, 2026, unless otherwise
terminated or extended by mutual agreement of both parties.

4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing as required
