RESOLUTION NO. 2024-622
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A
PUBLIC SERVICE GRANT FROM THE WATERLOO ELKS
LODGE IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,000.00, FOR YOUTH
SAFETY AND EDUCATION.
WHEREAS, the Waterloo Elks Lodge has generously offered a public service grant
totaling $4,000.00 to support youth safety and education initiatives within the city; and
WHEREAS, these funds will significantly enhance the capacity of local programs aimed
at improving safety and educational outcomes for young people in Waterloo.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The City Council hereby approves the acceptance of the public service grant provided
by the Waterloo Elks Lodge to be used specifically for youth safety and education purposes.
2. The grant funds will be allocated to designated city programs and initiatives that focus
on fostering a safe and educational environment for the youth of Waterloo.
3. The City expresses its gratitude to the Waterloo Elks Lodge for their valuable
contribution and ongoing support towards community -enhancing projects.
4. Waterloo Fire and Rescue is tasked with overseeing the efficient and effective use of
these grant funds according to city policies and regulations.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21' day of October 2024.
