RESOLUTION NO. 2024-626
A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPROVAL OF
SPECIFICATIONS, BID DOCUMENTS, AND FORM OF
CONTRACT IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE WATERLOO
FIRE RESCUE TURNOUT GEAR REPLACEMENT PROJECT
AND AUTHORIZING THE PROJECT TO PROCEED.
WHEREAS, Waterloo Fire Rescue has identified the need for replacing outdated turnout
gear to enhance the safety and efficacy of its personnel; and
WHEREAS, detailed specifications for the required turnout gear have been developed,
bid documents have been prepared, and a form of contract has been drafted to facilitate the
procurement process; and
WHEREAS, it is essential to confirm the approval of these documents to ensure
compliance with applicable municipal policies and standards during the procurement and project
execution phases.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The specifications for the turnout gear, associated bid documents, and the form of
contract for the Waterloo Fire Rescue Turnout Gear Replacement Project are hereby confirmed
and approved.
2. Waterloo Fire Rescue is authorized to move forward with the bidding process,
selection, and contractual procedures necessary for completing the turnout gear replacement in a
timely and efficient manner
3. The administration and execution of this project shall be overseen in accordance with
city procurement guidelines and best practices to ensure quality outcomes and transparency.
4. This resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
