RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE
OF STRUCTURES LOCATED AT 1223 ANSPOPOUGH AVENUE,
3018-20 ANSBOROUGH AVENUE, 3100 ANSBOROUGH
AVENUE, AND THE FOLLOWING GARAGES LOCATED AT
805 WALNUT STREET, 1223 ANSBOROUGH AVENUE,
1934 ANSBOROUGH AVENUE, 1940 ANSBORUGH AVENUE,
AND 2630 ANSBOROUGH AVENUE, AND AUTHORIZING
THE PLANNING, PROGRAMMING AND ZONING STAFF TO
EXECUTE AND DELIVER A BILL OF SALE FOR SAME.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is the owner of all
structures located upon real property located at 1223 Ansborouoh
Avenue, 3018-20 Ansborough Avenue, 3100 Ansborough Avenue and the
following garages located at 805 Walnut Street, 1223 Ansborough
Avenue, 1934 Ansborough Avenue, 1940 Ansborough Avenue, and
2630 Ansborough Avenue, City of Waterloo, 'flack Hawk County, Iowa,
and
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, intends to sell and
convey said structures and cause than to be removed from the site in
accordance with the guidelines and stipulations set forth in the bid
proposal form and,
WHEREAS, offers to purchase in compliance with said guidelines
and stipulations have been made by the bidders indicated below, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on March 16, 1987 at
7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in City Hall , Waterloo, Iowa. as
Provided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo. Iowa, to
accept bids for structures and to sell and convey said structures
owned by the City of Waterloo, Iowa to the successful bidders below,
and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that sale and
conveyance should he made as proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Waterloo, Iowa, as follows:
1. The following described structures as described in
published notices in the Waterloo Courier on February 23,
1987 are not presently needed and will not be needed in
the foreseeable future for municipal purposes and its
ownership is serving no municipal purpose, and
2. That the offer of Glenn D. Hoffman to purchase the
22' x 24' woodframe garage located at 905 Walnut for the
sum of Two Hundred Sixty-Six Dollars and No Cents
($266.00) be, and it is hereby accepted for the garage
described below:
Leepers Subdivision, Parts of M, C & A of Cooley' s
Subdivision, City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
3. That the offer of Richard Sterling and Nancy Jo Fisher to
purchase the house located at 1223 Ansborough Avenue for
the sum of Two Thousand One Hundred Dollars and No Cents
($2,110.nn) be, and it is hereby accepted for the house
described below:
470/471--South 30 feet Lot 6 Block 25: North 20 feet
Lot 7 Block 25, Hagerman Place, City of Waterloo, Black
Hawk County, Iowa;
4. That the offer of LeRoy L. Gray to purchase the
14' x 30' woodframe garage located at 1223 Ansborough
Avenue for the sum of Thirty-five Dollars and No Cents
(n5.00) be, and it is hereby accepted for the garage
described below:

and No Cents ($475.00) he. and it is hereby accepted for
the garage described below:

View Gardens, City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County,
Iowa.
7. That the offer of Ruddy L. and Linda Blanford to nurchase
the house located at 2600 Ansborough Avenue for the sum of
Five Thousand One Hundred Ten Dollars and No Cents
($5.110.00) be, and it is hereby accepted for the house
described below:
Lot 22 Byrnbrae Second Addition, City of Waterloo,
Black Hawk County, Iowa.
8. That the offer of Richard and Susan Klein to purchase the
24 ' x 26' woodframe garage located at 2630 Ansborough
Avenue for the sum of Seven Hundred Twenty-one Dollars and
No Cents ($721.00) he, and it is hereby accepted for the
garage described below:

North 6-1/2 Acres South 8-1/2 Acres East 25 Acres North
1/2 Southeast Section 33 Township 89 Range 13 lying
west of West line Ansborough Avenue except North 90
feet thereof & except commencing at point on west line

6-1/2 Acres tract thence West 217 feet thence South to
South line said North 6-1/2 Acres tract thence East to
West line Ansborough Avenue thence North to beginning ,

9. That the offer of Brenda Eschen to purchase the duplex
located at 3018-20 Ansborough Avenue, described below,
for the sum of Fifty-one Dollars and No Cents ($51.00) he
deferred to the warch 23, 1987 City Council meeting.

304.4 feet North of a point 33 feet West of Southeast

10. That no bids were received for the house located at
3100 Ansborough Avenue.

by Bill of Sale.
12. That tne Planning. Programming and Zoning staff is
authorized and directed to deliver said Bill of Sale to
said purchasers upon receipt of the full sum of their
