r*sC = RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE REMOVAL OF THE TRAFFIC
--, Q T, CONTROL SIGNAL AT THE INTERSECTION OF FRANKLIN
< AND EAST 7TH STREETS.
a -7WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on March 23, 1987, at
7:00 pm, in the Waterloo City Hall Council Chambers, as provided
E by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on the
proposal to remove the traffic control signals at the intersection
of- East 7th and Franklin Streets, and

`u WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Area Traffic Operation and Signal
c Study (MATOSS) suggests the removal of unwarranted traffic
signals, and
WHEREAS, said intersection does not warrant a traffic signal
based on traffic volumes and standards, and
M= r WHEREAS, a public informational meeting was held prior to
the ;public hearing with property owners in the vicinity of said
intersection to hear comments on said removal , and
r WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said removal
srrould be approved as proposed,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, that the traffic control signals located at the
intersection of East 7th and Franklin Streets, be and the same
hereby approved, and the City Attorney instructed to prepare an
ordinance accordingly.
Passed and adopted this 23rd day of March, 1987, and
approved by the Mayor Pro Tem this 25th day of March, 1987.
