RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONDEMNATION OF A CERTAIN
d CV PARCEL OF REAL PROPERTY FOR THE EAST DONALD STREET

WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa has undertaken the East
0 Donald Street Substitution Project and the parcel of land hereinafter
described has been appraised and an offer made to the owner of said
9 property in the amount of the appraised value and said offer has been
F -refused; and

-" WHEREAS, the acquisition, by Temporary Easement of the
c hereinafter described real property is necessary in conjunction with
the said East Donald Street Substitution Project (IX-6662(2)--79-07) .

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the following described parcel of real
t property be acquired by condemnation in the manner provided by law,
and such other further action as may be necessary to effect
acquisition:
The subject parcel is:
cParcel No. 919 - Marvin F. Piburn, Jr. , Owner
r A part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of
Section No. Twelve (12), Township No. Eighty-nine (89) North,
Range No. Thirteen (13) West of the Fifth Principal Meridian,
in Black Hawk County, Iowa, bounded and described as follows :
Beginning at a point on the South line of said Section that is
190 feet East of the Southwest corner of the Southeast Quarter
of the Southeast Quarter of said Section; thence East along the
South line of said Section a distance of 160 feet; thence North
along a line that is parallel with the East line of said
Section a distance of 47 feet; thence West along a line that is
parallel with the South line of said Section a distance of 160
feet; thence South along a line that is parallel with the East
line of said Section a distance of 47 feet to the point of
beginning.
Excepting therefrom the South 33 feet of the above described
parcel .
Containing approximately 2,240 sq. ft.
Passed and adopted this 23rd day of March, 19 7.
