RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE USE OF A PORTION OF

rn m • AND EAST PARK AVENUE FOR THE WATERLOO TRANSIT

WHEREAS, Metropolitan Transit Authority will be submitting a
grant application to the Federal Urban Mass Transit Administration
• (UMTA) funds, and
r._ . WHEREAS, said application proposes the location of the
co W t!or.loo Transit Terminal at the intersection of Sycamore Street
• and East Park Avenue, and
Co m• ,-WHEREAS, Jefferson Bus Lines desires to relocate its current
-location at 1115 Washington Street due to the Relocated 218
project, and
WHEREAS, the MET Bus System and Jefferson Bus Lines wish to
co-locate at said location, and
WHEREAS, said property is owned by the City of Waterloo,
Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, that the use of the City owned parking lot at the
corner of East Park Avenue and Sycamore Street of approximately
11,030 square feet be and the same hereby approved for use for the
proposed Waterloo Transit Terminal .
Passed and adopted this 23rd day of March, 1987.
