EXTENSION TO HARD-SURFACE PARKING LOT AND DRIVEWAY

WHEREAS, the Waterloo Seventh Day Adventist Church has submitted a
site plan their proposed church with parking lot at 560 West Airline
=' Highway, and
WHEREAS, the Waterloo Planning , Programming and Zoning Commission
has approved said special permit with a recommendation to the Council that
the Council consider extending up to three (3) years waiving the hard-
surfacing requirements of the proposed parking lot and access drive to the
parking lot, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has
conducted a public hearing on April 6, 1987, pursuant to published notice
in the Waterloo Courier, and
WHEREAS, the Waterloo City Council finds that said request is
located in an underdeveloped portion of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, that the site plan for the proposed church and parking lot of
the Waterloo Seventh Day Adventist Church located at 560 West Airline
Highway be approved and that the Waterloo City Council grant a three (3)
year extension for the hard-surfacing of the parking lot and driveway
access to the parking lot due to said church being located in an
underdeveloped portion of the ccmmun i ty.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of April , 1987.
