= d y WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
Pal shed important amendments to the regulations for the Section 8
Ex 's` th g Housing Program making necessary changes to the Waterloo Housing
m m Authority Lease Agreement and the Housing Voucher Program requires a

c n m ` 1HEREAS, the Waterloo Housing Authority has completed making the
c flanges required by the regulatory amendments of the U.S. Department of
s s c Ffou_s.ing and Urban Development for the Section 8 Existing Waterloo Housing
o 2 = Authority Lease for use with the Waterloo Housing Authority Housing
N Assistance Payments Contracts and Housing Voucher Contract, and

= WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
requires that the lease between the owner and the family must include all
rprovisions required by HUD when used with the Section 8 Existing Program
koitsng Assistance Payments Contract, the Waterloo Housing Authority Lease
o Agrent and Housing Voucher Program Lease Agreement will be the required
n- > eases for the Section 8 Existing Program. The owner's lease may only be
used when an exception is made by the Authority Executive Director because
the owner's lease includes all the provisions required by HUD and the
Waterloo Housing Authority Lease Agreements cannot be used to meet the
extra-ordinary circumstances of an individual situation,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, as the Waterloo Housing Authority, adopts the Authority
Lease Agreement and Housing Voucher Program Lease Agreement for use with
the Section 8 Existing Housing Program, Projects IA05-E050-O01-9 and
Housing Voucher Program IA05-V050-001-4.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of April , 1987 and approved by the
Mayor this 6th day of April , 1987.
