o cr E JHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held on March 24, 1987 at which an
Lcdittpreettibity was accorded to all persons and organizations attending to
opt sent`-their views regarding the preparation and submission of a
VStatement of Community Development Objectives and Projected Use of Funds
c L_fOr Federal Assistance as part of the Housing and Community Development
Act of 1974, as amended; and

cr c WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed Statement for
Federfal Assistance for Community Development Block Grant funds for the
t City ii Waterloo, Iowa, conforms to the general plan of the municipality
as a iwlit(le and that there is presently in existence a feasible method for
the reThcation of families that may be displaced into decent, safe, and
cariitary dwelling accommodations within their means and without undue
harfdship to them.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Statement for Federal Assistance under Title I of
the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, is hereby
approved and that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the
appropriate forms and forward the Statement to the Department of Housing
and Urban Development for their review nd approval .
