HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-147-04.06.1987 RESOLUTION NO. 1987-147 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONDEMNATION OF CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY FOR THE DONALD STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT (IX-6662(2)--79-07) . WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has undertaken the Donald Street Reconstruction Project and the parcels of land hereinafter described have been appraised and an offer made to the owners of said property in the amount of the appraised value and said offers have been refused; and WHEREAS, the acquisition, by either Fee Simple Title or Temporary Easement of the hereinafter described real properties are necessary in connection with the said Donald Street Reconstruction Project (IX-6662(2)--79-07) . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the following described parcels of real property be acquired by condemnation in the manner provided by law, and such other further action as may be necessary to effect acquisition: PARCEL 613 - 613 EAST DONALD STREET - Tommie Riley All that part of Lot No. Four (4) in Hollingsworth Addition described as follows : Beginning at the Southwest Corner of said Lot No. Four (4) ; thence East along the South line of said Lot No. Four (4) to the Southeast Corner of said Lot No. Four (4); thence North along the East line of said Lot No. Four (4) a distance of 3.47 feet; thence West to a point on the West line of said Lot No. Four (4), which point is 3.77 feet North of the Southwest Corner of said Lot No. Four (4); thence South along the West line of said Lot No. Four (4) to the point of beginning, City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
