RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FILING OF APPLICATION WITH THE
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY, UNITED STATES OF
AMERICA, FOR A GRANT UNDER THE FEDERAL WATER POLLUTION
CONTROL ACT AMENDMENTS ( 33 U.S.C. 1251 ET SEQ. )
WHEREAS, under the terms of the Federal Water Pollution
Control Act Amendments ( 33 U.S.C. 125 et seq. ) , the United States
of America has authorized the making of grants to authorized
applicants to aid in the construction of specific public projects ,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
1 . That Mayor Bernard L. McKinley be and he is hereby
authorized to execute and file an application on behalf of the
City of Waterloo, Iowa with the United States Government for a
grant to aid in the construction of Sewer System Evaluation Survey
Phase I Grant.
2 . That Bernard L. McKinley, Mayor be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to furnish such information as the
Environmental Protection Agency may reasonably request in
connection with the application which is herein authorized to be
filed, sign all necessary documents on behalf of the applicant, to
furnish such assurances to the Environmental Protection Agency as
may be required by law or regulation, and receive payment.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 26th day of May, 1987 .

the Resolution authorizing the filing of an application with the
Environmental Protection Agency as regularly adopted at a legally
convened meeting of the City Council of the City of Waterloo duly
held on the 26th day of May, 1987; and, further, that such
Resolution has been fully recorded in the journal of proceedings
and records in my office.
