BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
ON PETITIONS AND ON COUNCIL' S OWN MOTION, that it is deemed
necessary and advisable that the following streets, avenues,
drives , roads, boulevards and s alle etc.
be improved by oiling the same: y or portions thereof,
;71Alley between Campbell Avenue and Kingsley Avenue from
Euclid Avenue to Clough Street
oy Intersection of Linn and Oneida Streets
The cost and expense of making said improvement will be
assessed as provided by law, as a special tax against all property
abutting upon the streets, avenues, drives, roads, boulevards and
alleys so improved.
That said work shall be done by the Superintendent of Street
Department of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, under the direction of
the City Engineer and the Public Works Committee of the Council of
the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and an accurate itemized account of
all the costs and expenses thereof shall be kept and a report of
the same made to this Council upon the completion of said work.
That unless property owners at the time of the final
consideration of this resolution have on file with the City Clerk
written objections of the proposed improvements they shall be
deemed to have waived all objections thereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the foregoing improvement of said
streets, avenues, drives, roads , boulevards and alleys, etc. , by
oiling, hereby proposed to be made and this resolution, be, and
the same are hereby, set down for further hearing, consideration
and determination and passage at a meeting of the City Council to
be held on the 22nd day of June, 1987, at 7: 00 P.M. in the
Council Chambers in the City Hall in said City and that the
City Clerk is hereby instructed to cause notice of the time
and place when this resolution will be considered for passage
and objections to the passage thereof and to the construction
of said improvements heard, to be given by publication in the
Waterloo Courier, a newspaper of general circulation published
in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, in a manner and for the time
provided by law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of June, 1987 .
