RESOLUTION ANNEXING REAL ESTATE TO THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA.
WHEREAS, Aniceta D. Claassen and Wayne Claassen, property
owners have made application to have the hereafter described real
estate annexed to the City of Waterloo, Iowa; and
WHEREAS, said hereafter described real estate is located in
Sections 15 , 21 and 22 of Township 89 , Range 12;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the following described real estate, all of
which is located in the County of Black Hawk, State of Iowa, be
and the same is hereby added to and annexed and made a part of the
City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa:
The Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of the Southwest Quarter (SW
1/4) of Section No. Fifteen ( 15 ) , Township Eighty-nine North
(T89N) , Range Twelve West (R12W) , except Chicago &
Northwestern Transportation Co. right of way;
Also,
The East One-half (E 1/2) of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4 )
of Section No. Fifteen ( 15) , Township Eighty-nine North
(T89N) , Range Twelve West (R12W) , except the North Nine
Hundred Ninety ( 990 ) feet thereof, and further excepting
Chicago & Northwestern Transportation Co. right of way;
Also,
That part of the East One-half (E 1/2 ) of the Northeast
Quarter (NE 1/4) of Section No. Twenty-one ( 21) , Township
Eighty-nine North (T89N) , Range Twelve West (R12W) , lying
South of the Chicago & Northwestern Transportation Co. right
of way;
Also,
That part of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of Section No.
Twenty-two ( 22) , Township Eighty-nine North (T89N) , Range
Twelve West (R12W) , lying North of the Chicago & Northwestern
Transportation Co. right of way;
Also,
the North Six Hundred ( 600 ) feet of the Northeast Quarter (NE
1/4 ) of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4 ) of Section No.
Twenty-two ( 22 ) , Township Eighty-nine North (T89N) , Range
Twelve West (R12W) ;
Also,
The West Three Hundred ( 300 ) feet of the Northwest Quarter
(NW 1/4 ) of Section No. Twenty-two ( 22) , Township Eighty-nine
North (T89N) , Range Twelve West (R12W) lying South of a line
which begins at the point of intersection of the Southerly
line of the Chicago and Northwestern Transportation Co. and v;
the West line of said Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4 ) ; thence
N70°11 ' 41"E along said Southerly line Two Hundred Sixty-four
and Fifty-four Hundredths ( 264 . 54 ) feet; thence S86°28 ' 27"E
Fifty-one and Two Tenths ( 51 . 2 ) feet to a point which is 0
Three Hundred ( 300 ) feet normally distant and Easterly of the
West line of said Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4 ) ; except that

part described as commencing at a point on the West line of
said Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) which is One Thousand
Twenty-nine ( 1029 ) feet North of the Southwest corner of said
Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4 ) ; thence East at right angles Sixty
( 60 ) feet to the point of beginning and East line of Elk Run
Road; thence North Seventy ( 70 ) feet along said East line;
thence East at right angles Two Hundred Forty ( 240 ) feet;
thence South at right angles Seventy ( 70 ) feet; thence West
at right angles Two Hundred Forty ( 240 ) feet to the point of
beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this
Resolution in the Office of the Recorder of Black Hawk County,
Iowa, and take other action as is necessary.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of August, 1987 .
