RESOLUTION NO. 1987-533
0' CO - RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING THE WEEK OF OCTOBER 4-10 , 1987 AS
"WATERLOO MINORITY ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT WEEK, 1987 . "
WHEREAS, Ronald Reagan, President of the United States of
America, signed an Executive Proclamation entitled, "Minority
Enterprise Development Week, 1987" ; and
WHEREAS, minority enterprise today form a significant portion
of all the Nation' s businesses , and their number is continuing to
grow; and
WHEREAS, President Ronald Reagan calls upon all Americans to
join together with minority business enterprise across the country
in appropriate observances.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Waterloo,
Iowa hereby proclaim the week of October 4-10 , 1987 as "Waterloo
Minority Enterprise Development Week, 1987" , and
RESOLVED FURTHER that the Mayor and City Council call upon
all Waterloo residents to join together with Waterloo minority
business enterprise in appropriate observances.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of September, 1987 .
