D " e s RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF ROBERT AND JANE
H FAHR FOR PROPERTY TAX EXEMPTION FOR IMPROVEMENTS

p . MARTIN ROAD WITHIN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA.

• WHEREAS, Robert and Jane Fahr have submitted an application
dated September 30, 1987, to the City Council of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, requesting exemption from taxation on the actual
value added by improvements to industrial properties located at
1447 Martin Road as follows:
E A parcel of land in the SW 1/4 of Section 33-89-13 in
Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, described as follows:

Commencing at the SW corner of said SW 1/4 ; thence N.
00°00 ' 00" E. along the W. line of said SW 1/4 a distance of
233 . 00 feet; thence N. 90°00 ' 00" E. a distance of 25 . 00 feet
H c to the point of beginning; thence N. 90°00 ' 00" E. a distance
c r of 200. 00 feet; thence N. 00°00 ' 00" E. a distance of 100. 00
feet; thence S. 90°00 ' 00" W. a distance of 200. 00 feet;
r thence S. 00°00 ' 00" W. a distance of 100. 00 feet to the point
of beginning.
Excepting all legal highways.
The W. line of said SW 1/4 is assumed to bear North-South.
WHEREAS, said properties are located within the Corporate
Limits of the City of Waterloo, Iowa; and,
WHEREAS, the improvement project respecting said properties
are in conformance with the Industrial Property Tax Abatement
Ordinance as officially adopted by the City Council of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa; and,
WPEREAS, the improvements on said properties were made during
the time in which such improvements are eligible for the tax
exemption as set forth in the Industrial Tax Abatement Ordinance
as adopted by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and
as set forth in the Code of Ordinances, City of Waterloo, Iowa, as
adopted by the Legislature of the State of Iowa and signed by the
Governc,r of the State of Iowa; and,
M.IEREAS, said applicant is requesting the following exemption
schedule:
For the first year - Seventy-five Percent (75%)
For the second year - Sixty Percent ( 60%)
For the third year - Forty-five Percent ( 45%)
For the fourth year - Thirty Percent ( 30%)
For the fifth year - Fifteen Percent ( 15%)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that said application is hereby approved
and said application and a copy of this resolution forwarded to
the Assessor by February 1, 1988 .
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of October, 1987.
