WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is the owner of real property in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, as described below, and WHEREAS, offers to purchase certain parcels of real property in the following sums, plus costs, have been made by the following individuals: James L. Rooff and Ramona E. Rooff $120 . 00 Norbert L. Armstrong and Joyce E. Armstrong $100 . 80 James Rooff $ 52 . 20 John R. Rooff, III $ 36 . 00 John R. Rooff, Jr. and Marian E. Rooff $ 98 . 67 Montgomery Tank Lines $120 . 00 Philip L. Hild and Mary Jane Hild $ 80 . 00 James E. Goering and Gloria Goering $ 50 . 00 Marilyn K. Saug $ 70 . 00 and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on October 5 , 1987 , at 7 : 00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, as provided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on the proposal to sell and convey premises owned by the City of Waterloo, Iowa, to James L. Rooff and Ramona E. Rooff, Norbert L. Armstrong and Joyce E. Armstrong, James Rooff , John R. Rooff , III , John R. Rooff, Jr. and Marian E. Rooff, Montgomery Tank Lines , Philip L. Hild and Mary Jane Hild, James E. Goering and Gloria Goering, and Marilyn K. Saug, and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that sale and conveyance should be made as proposed. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS FOLLOWS: 1 . The following described real property, as fully described in the published notice in the Waterloo Courier on September 25 , 1987 , is not presently needed and will not be needed in the foreseeable future for municipal purposes and its ownership is serving no municipal purpose, and 2 . That the offer of James L. and Ramona E. Rooff to purchase real property for the sum of $120 . 00 and costs be, and it is hereby accepted for real property described below: The West one-half ( 1/2 ) of the vacated North-South alley adjoining Lot Nos . 20 , 21 and 22 of Rooff ' s Addition in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa. 3 . That the offer of Norbert L. Armstrong and Joyce E. That the offer of Montgomery Tank Lines to purchase real property for the sum of $120 . 00 and costs be, and it is hereby accepted for real property described below: The East one-half ( 1/2) of the vacated North-South alley adjoining Lot Nos. 29 , 30 and 31 of Rooff ' s Addition in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa. 8 . That the offer of Philip L. Hild and Mary Jane Hild to purchase real property for the sum of $80 . 00 and costs be, and it is hereby accepted for real property described below: The East one-half ( 1/2) of the vacated North-South alley adjoining Lot Nos. 32 and 33 of Rooff ' s Addition in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa. 9. That the offer of James E. Goering and Gloria Goering to purchase real property for the sum of $50 . 00 and costs be, and it is hereby accepted for real property described below: The East one-half ( 1/2 ) of the vacated North-South alley adjoining Lot No. 34 and the North one-fourth ( 1/4) of Lot No. 35 of Rooff ' s Addition in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa. 10. That the offer of Marilyn K. Saug to purchase real property for the sum of $70 . 00 and costs be, and it is hereby accepted for real property described below: The East one-half ( 1/2) of the vacated North-South alley adjoining the South three-fourths ( 3/4 ) of Lot No. 35 and all of Lot No. 36 of Rooff ' s Addition in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa. Armstrong; James Rooff; John R. Rooff III ; John R. Rooff, Jr. and Marian E. Rooff; Montgomery Tank Lines; Philip L. Hild and Mary Jane Hild; James E. Goering and Gloria Goering; and Marilyn K. Saug by Quit Claim Deeds. 12. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute and deliver deeds to James L. Rooff and Ramona E. Rooff; Norbert L. Armstrong and Joyce E. Armstrong; James Rooff; John R. Rooff III ; John R. Rooff, Jr. and Marian E. Rooff; Montgomery Tank Lines; Philip L. Hild and Mary Jane Hild; James E. Goering and Gloria Goering; and Marilyn K. Saug. 13 . That the originals of said deeds fully executed and acknowledged are hereby approved and confirmed by the Council. 14. That the City Clerk is authorized and directed to deliver said deeds of conveyance to James L. Rooff and Ramona E. Rooff upon receipt of the sum of $120 .00, plus costs; Norbert L. Armstrong and Joyce E. Armstrong upon receipt of the sum of $100 . 80 and costs; James Rooff upon receipt of the sum of $52. 20 and costs; John R. Rooff III upon receipt of the sum of $36 . 00 and costs; John R. Rooff, Jr. and Marian E. Rooff upon receipt of the sum of $98. 67 and costs; Montgomery Tank Lines upon receipt of the sum of $120. 00 and costs; Philip L.
