`� L 77' RESOLUTION APPROVING MATCHING FUNDS NOT TO EXCEED
c o - $45 , 000 FOR USE BY THE WATERLOO PUBLIC LIBRARY FOR USE
p r, IN UPDATING THE DATA BASE OF ON-LINE CATALOG SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, the Waterloo Public Library has been awarded a grant
of $26 , 476. 00 as a part of the Library Services and Construction
Act Title III funds from the State Library of Iowa, and
WHEREAS, said grant will be used in upgrading the data base
of the on-line catalog system at the Waterloo Public Library, and
WHEREAS, the grant is contingent upon matching funds
contributed by the recipient not to exceed $45 , 000 , and
WHEREAS, this project has been included in the FY1988 -
FY1992 Capital Improvements Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City of Waterloo, Iowa agrees to
fund said matching grant not to exceed $45 , 000 from the FY 1989
General Obligation Bond Sale for use by the Waterloo Public
Library for the purposes herein stated.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 26th day of October, 1987 .
