WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held on November 10 , 1987 at
which an opportunitywas accorded to all
persons and organizations
attending to present their views regarding the preparation and
submission of an Amendment to the Statement of Community
Development Objectives and Projected Use of Funds for Federal
Assistance as part of the Housing and Community Development Act of
1974 , as amended, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed Statement
Amendment for Federal Assistance for Community Development Block
Grant funds for the City of Waterloo, Iowa, conforms to the
general plan of the municipality as a whole and that there is
presently in existence a feasible method for the relocation of
families that may be displaced into decent, safe and sanitary
dwelling accommodations within their means and without undue
hardship to them.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the amended Statement for Federal
Assistance under Title I of the Housing and Community Development
Act of 1974 , as amended is hereby approved and that the Mayor is
hereby authorized to execute the appropriate forms and forward the
Statement to the Department of Housing and Urban Development for
their review and approval.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of November, 1987 .
