RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONDEMNATION OF CERTAIN
PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY FOR THE INDEPENDENCE AVENUE
RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has undertaken the
Independence Avenue Reconstruction Project and the parcels of land
hereinafter described have been appraised and an offer made to the
owners of said property in the amount of the appraised value and
said offer has been refused; and
WHEREAS, the acquisition, by Temporary Easement of the
hereinafter described real property is necessary in connection
with the said Independence Avenue Reconstruction Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the following described parcels of
real property be acquired by condemnation in the manner
provided
by law, and such other further action as may be necessary to
effect acquisition:
Parcel No. 23 - Temporary Easement
Black Hawk County Board of Supervisors, Owners
That part of Lot Ten ( 10 ) in Rutter' s Addition to Waterloo,
Iowa, described as follows:
The West Twenty-five ( 25) feet of the South One Hundred ( 100 )
feet except that part lying South of the following described
line. Beginning at a point on the West line and Three ( 3 )
feet North of the Southwest corner of said Lot Ten ( 10) ;
thence Southeasterly to the Southeast corner of said Lot Ten
( 10 ) .
Easement area is 2 , 436 S.F. , more or less.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this llth day of January, 1988.
