RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO
IOWA DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ( IDED) FOR
COMMUNITY ECONOMIC BETTERMENT ACCOUNT ( CEBA) FUNDING FOR
EXPANSION OF DAWSON FOUNDRY, INC.
WHEREAS, Dawson Foundry, Inc. is an existing Waterloo
industry, and
WHEREAS, Dawson Foundry, Inc. is considering a substantial
expansion of its operations; and
WHEREAS, funding assistance is available to cities through
the Iowa Department of Economic Development ' s Community Economic
Betterment Account to provide financial assistance to expanding
industries; and
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo desires to provide assistance
to the Dawson Foundry expansion project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Mayor be directed and authorized
to submit an application for Community Economic Betterment Account
funds to the Iowa Department of Economic Development to assist the
project.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of January, 1988 .
