H N O RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONDEMNATION OF A CERTAIN

n PARCEL OF REAL PROPERTY FOR THE INDEPENDENCE AVENUE
RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa has undertaken the
a; Independence Avenue Reconstruction Project and the parcel of land

hereinafter described has been appraised and an offer made to the
owner of said property in the amount of the appraised value and
said offer has been refused; and
WHEREAS, the acquisition, by Temporary Easement of the
hereinafter described real property is necessary in connection
with the said Independence Avenue Reconstruction Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the following described parcel of
real property be acquired by condemnation in the manner provided
by law, and such other further action as may be necessary to
effect acquisition:
Parcel No. 17 - Donna M. Azbill, Owner - Temporary Easement
That part of Lot No. One ( 1) in "Auditor ' s Bell Court Plat"
in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, described
as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of said Lot One ( 1 ) ; thence
South along the East line of said Lot One ( 1) a distance of
One Hundred (100) feet; thence West a distance of Fifty ( 50 )
feet; thence North One Hundred ( 100 ) feet to a point which is
on the North line of said Lot One ( 1) said point also being
Fifty (50) feet West of the Northeast corner of said Lot One
(1) ; thence East along the North line of said Lot One ( 1) a
distance of Fifty ( 50) feet to the point of beginning.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of February, 1988.
