AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa
shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of Waterloo,
Iowa at 7 : 00 p.m. on the 14th day of March, 1988 , for the purpose
of considering and acting upon a proposal to vacate, sell and
convey an alley extending northwesterly from West 4th Street and
the alley extending southwesterly from Cedar Street owned by the
City of Waterloo, Iowa, to Waterloo Courier, Inc. and legally
described as follows:
The Northwesterly fifteen ( 15) feet of the Southeasterly
twenty ( 20 ) feet of Lots Nos . Thirteen ( 13 ) , Fourteen ( 14) ,
Fifteen ( 15 ) , Sixteen ( 16 ) , Seventeen ( 17 ) and Eighteen ( 18 ) ,
and the Northwesterly fifteen ( 15) feet of the Southeasterly
twenty ( 20 ) feet of the Southwesterly five ( 5 ) feet, Lot
Thirty-four ( 34 ) , Mill Square, all in the City of Waterloo,
Black Hawk County, Iowa, with the City' s retention of a
permanent easement over, under and above the above described
parcel;
and
Commencing at the most westerly corner of Lot Twenty-four
( 24) , Mill Square; thence Southeasterly a distance of
Fifty-eight and one-half ( 58. 5 ) feet; thence at right angles
to the right fifteen ( 15 ) feet; thence at right angles to the
right ninety-three and one-half ( 93 . 5 ) feet; thence at right
angles to the right fifteen ( 15 ) feet; thence at right angles
to the right thirty-five ( 35 ) feet to the point of beginning,
all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, with
the City' s retention of a permanent easement over, under and
above the above described parcel.
Section 2 . That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo
Courier.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of March, 1988.
