N � RESOLUTION INSTRUCTING THE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM
H v MANAGER TO INITIATE IMPLEMENTATION OF PHASE I
• °~ o _ IMPROVEMENTS, INTERSECTION OF HIGHWAY 21 AND ORANGE ROAD
• H H H " IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has authorized a traffic
engineering assistance program (TEAP) study for improvements to
the "hazardous traffic conditions at the intersection of Highway 21
and Orange Road, and
WHEREAS, said report recommended two phases to improve said
hazardous traffic conditions, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that Phase I be and the same hereby
recommended for implementation at the intersection of Highway 21
and Orange Road which will include the installation of a flashing
beacon, rumble strips, pavement markings, and signing, at an
estimated cost of $4 , 000 . 00.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of March, 1988 .
