WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
adopted Resolution No. 1987-70 authorizing the temporary closure
of LaPorte Road Frontage Road between Easton Avenue and Lorraine
Avenue due to the safety concern expressed of the traffic pattern
in the LaPorte Road Frontage area; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution stipulated that should the property
adjacent to the Frontage Road between Easton Avenue and Lorraine
Avenue be developed that said Frontage Road be opened to
facilitate traffic flow to and from said development, and
WHEREAS , the owner of said property has notified the City
that on April 1 , 1988 , a business will occupy said adjacent
property and desires that said frontage road be reopened.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that Resolution No. 1987-70 be and the
same hereby repealed thus allowing the reopening of LaPorte Road
Frontage Road between Easton Avenue and Lorraine Avenue.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Street Department be and the same hereby
instructed to remove two ( 2 ) Type 3 barricades and snow fence at
the Easton Avenue and Lorraine Avenue ends of said Frontage Road.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of March, 1988 .
