'o 0 0E ESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONDEMNATION OF CERTAIN
st PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY FOR THE INDEPENDENCE AVENUE
RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT, IX-6600( 1) --9-07 .
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has undertaken the
Independence Avenue Reconstruction Project and the parcels of land
hereinafter described have been appraised and an offer made to the
owners of said property in the amount of the appraised value and
said offers have been refused; and
WHEREAS, the acquisition, by Partial Acquisition and
Temporary Easement of the hereinafter described real properties
are necessary in connection with the said Independence Avenue
Reconstruction Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the following described parcels of
real property be acquired by condemnation in the manner provided
by law, and such other further action as may be necessary to
effect acquisition:
The subject parcels are:
Parcel No. 13 - James Higgins , Owner
That part of the South Fifty ( SO) feet of the West One
Hundred ( 100 ) feet of the East One Hundred Thirty ( 130) feet
of Lot 2 in "Beauchaine ' s Subdivision" in the City of
Waterloo , Flack Hawk County, Iowa, described as follows:
The South Ten ( 10 ) feet of the South Fifty ( SO ) feet of the
West One Hundred ( 100 ) feet of the East One Hundred Thirty
( 130 ) feet of said Lot 2.
Parcel No. 22 - Martin and Delores Wells, Owners
That part of Lot No. Six ( 6 ) in "Auditor Francis ' Hardy and
Virden Plat No. Four ( 4 ) , in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, "
described as follows:
The East Five ( 5) feet of the South Fifty ( SO ) feet of said
Lot No. Six ( 6 ) , in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County,
Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of March, 1988 .
