RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF KEITH SHEPHARD OF
MINNIOWA, INC. TO CONSTRUCT PRIVATE SANITARY SERVICE
LINE IN ALLEY RIGHT-OF-WAY, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN
CONDITIONS, IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY,
IOWA.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
that the request from Keith Shephard of MINNIOWA, INC. to
construct a four ( 4 ) inch sanitary service line in the alley
between Black Hawk Street and Commercial Street to serve 2015
Commercial Street, be and the same is hereby approved, subject to
the following conditions:
1. The City will have no responsibility for protecting or
maintaining the service line in the future.
2. All costs associated with construction shall be borne by
the property owner.
3 . The service line will be for the use of the property
located at 2015 Commercial Street only, with no
connections or future extensions to serve other property
allowed.
4. Any and all utility conflicts shall be resolved by the
property owner and/or the contractor at no expense to
the City.
5. The City shall inspect all of the construction within
City right-of-way.
6. The trench backfill shall be compacted to 98% of the
Standard Proctor Density.
7. The alley shall be restored to as good or better than
its existing condition.
8. The service line shall be constructed according to the
City Plumbing Code and be inspected by the City Plumbing
Inspector.
9. The property owner and/or the contractor shall secure v
all required permits. ?'
