WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo desires to use the Rental Rehabilitation Program which was enacted into law in Section 201 of the Housing and Urban-Rural Recovery Act of 1983 , and WHEREAS, the Rental Rehabilitation Program sets forth a program for Waterloo to use, and provides funds for such programs to assist property owners and tenants. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Application for Federal Assistance under Section 17 , of the United States Housing Act of 1937 is hereby approved, and that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the appropriate forms and forward the Application to the Department of Housing and Urban Development for their review and approval. 't N 0 tz71-10 C .,_._..jy,3,. ..,,,---\___.\,, ,,, - \\ C--- i� j RESOLUTION NO. 1988-189 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN PERMANENT EASEMENT CONTRACTS WITH WAYNE AND ANICETA CLAASSEN PERTAINING TO STORM AND SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS ON IDAHO STREET AS PART OF THE INDEPENDENCE AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION PROGRAM AND APPROVING CERTAIN EASEMENTS. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has had all of the parcel described herein appraised and the fair market value ascertained, and WHEREAS, the acquisition of the permanent easements hereinafter described is necessary to carry out the Independence Avenue Reconstruction Program in connection with the Interstate Substitution Plan, Ih--6600( 2 ) --79-07.
